phytopin® has received the agreement of the European Commission for its used in functional foods and dietary supplements. phytopin® is also used in cosmetics.

Applications

phytopin® est une poudre blanche insoluble dans l’eau. Il peut être utilisé dans :

  • Les compléments alimentaires (capsules molles et gélules)
  • Les aliments fonctionnels (margarines, produits laitiers, barres céréalières)
  • Les cosmétiques

Dose journalière conseillée pour la diminution du cholesterol : entre 1,5 et 2 g de phytopin® par jour.

Dose journalière conseillée pour le bien-être prostatique : 60 mg de phytopin® par jour

The U.S. FDA provides the following model health claim for sterols :
“food containing at least 0.40 g per serving of vegetable oil sterols eaten twice a day with meals for daily total intake of at least 0.8 g, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.
A serving of [name of the food] supplies gram(s) of plant sterols”.
